Ky does stun edge YRC > You can't move because he will freely anti air you if you jump and the projectile covers the ground > You now act with this in mind even when YRC isn't out because it's 25 meter and it's a constant threat > Game is slower against a character that can do it ( Majority of the cast ) It's not just that, it also freezes the game on a more gameplay standpoint too. Doubly so if you're in a shitty rollback connection. I'll hopefully get used to it when I start playing when rollback drops, but feeling robbed of control like that sucks. Which also freezes the screen which brings the main problem: Overdrive slowdowns happen like 2-4 times a round, but YRC can happen whenever any player has 25(?) meterĪnything that spawns a projectile lets you get it out with YRC IB made useless, no 25 meter option at all, instead of the multiple ones we are used to Combo system completely remade, gatlings removed Oppressive offense with extremely strong corner game Stun (also improved since it's not random in Xrd) Staggers, though the way you get out of stagger got changed Strong defensive mechanics in IB, FD and Blitz as a special high risk, high reward counter similar to SB
Gatling/combo system, still as deep as it was in XX, with RRC being actually a viable meter option now instead of all meter being eaten up by FRC or FBs Burst supers which are an interesting way to use a defensive mechanic offensively Removal of Force Breaks (though this is only specific to AC games and Xrd was supposed to be a Reload "remake") Universal 2F buffer, which got increased to 3F in first SIGN patch RC system slowdown, YRC replaced FRC as a much more freeform system (this affects the game both positively and negatively)
